Grown at the deepest point of Nantucket in floating cages allows for our oysters to feed on the abundance of plankton and nutrients that a body of water as healthy as Nantucket’s has plenty of.
Growing in floating cages has many benefits. It keeps the oysters clean and safe from a host of organisms that can damage shell and hurt the quality of oyster, it also makes for a magnificent shaped, exceptionally clean shell. Words can’t explain how much better a Great Harbor Oyster really is.
To give an example I will use something we are sure you’ve eaten, and no doubt enjoyed; the Nantucket Bay Scallop. Just think about how much better a Nantucket Bay Scallop is compared to other scallops.
